Pretty much sums it up, I'm trying to determine what FPA headers are made of...are they stainless steel?

Thanks,
JC

Stan replied yesterday and informed me that FPA headers are not made with stainless steel. Stan seems pretty cool, very informative.

Cheers,

I talked to him as well and agree a great guy. He also uses a thick gauge steel which if you have him coat or you get coated locally will last a very long time. A quality coating is key. Most SS exhaust components are not made with the highest grades of SS anyway. They can (and most will) rust and corrode to some degree just like normal steel. If you do go stainless make sure any welding is done with the proper stuff (ss mig wire, for example) and shielding gas otherwise you destroy the SS properties and it will rot like normal metal.
