free email accounts

need a recommendation on which one of the freebie email accounts to get such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc.

i need a good freebie to give to a few people that overload me daily with forwards. right now, i have almost 1000 unopened emails (all FW, last week i cleared it down to 600, but its back up that quick..) i would like to keep that stuff seperate from the important stuff. it wouldn't be bad, but every forward that goes around, i get it 4-5 times & figure the easiest way to not hurt any feelings is getting a "junk" email acct.

I like my hotmail account. It is the oldest email account that I have, prolly :nut ok probably almost 15 years old. I like the junk mail feature.

Have you set up a filter looking for fwd? You could create another folder and have all forwards dump into it.

our current setup (comcast) doesn't have many filter options, mainly a spam filter (that is worthless). that did get me to thinking & did some checking & still had an available account so set that up. when the boys were still living at home, they had them all used up constantly. kids...

Are you using comcast's web interface? If so why not use Thunderbird and just setup a filter to move all the the fwd junk to the junk?

Gmail.....Been using it for a very long time. Just after I sold the ISP, I switched so I would never have to change again....
