I am not sure what will be next--water heater and furnace are about 17 years old, the washer/ dryer is 7- we had a cheap frigidaire stacked front loader that I never really cared for from jump, it does not clean well and shakes on spin. We bought a asko small pair tonight, I would not have bought it if it wasn't a deeply discounted floor model. They are supposed to be 20 year life expectancy--yah right--we have to get a pretty compact unit because of where we want it---they stab you more on those than the monster units!

Asko units are supposed to be good. I had considered them 7 or 8 years ago but I had chosen Bosch due to better parts availability. If I has a deeply discounted offer, I would have bit too.

At 17 years old, my money is on the water heater to go next..most have a life of about 12-15 years.

I figure I am on borrowed time on the water heater--also forgot to throw in the well pump, it is 17 also, that would be more expensive than the water heater. I have had to have the furnace and air conditioner both worked on once each in 17 years, always something, are you all settled in your new home??

We bought a new dishwasher this weekend. Looks great, seems to work great but really, 83 minute "Quick" cycle, I dont recall my old one running that long on any cycle
