The front clip that I bought off of eBay has arrived at Dave's shop! Soon it will be cut off and mated to my car. Will be sure to start up a build thread when it starts moving along!

Auuugggghhhhh! It was a Burnt Amber car!

Just out of curiosity, what's the VIN? My first car was also a Burnt Amber '67. I've always wondered if it's still on the road.

Congratulations on the progress.

Frank

That's awesome, looks real solid. Congratulations and can't wait to see the process of it all coming together.

Just wondering....where will you join at......or how much of the new section are you going to use?

I'm not sure exactly what Dave plans but at this moment we had cut my car flat at the firewall. I assume he'll cut off the rails under the floor and move the whole thing into place. Since the floors on the donor are so nice, Dave may be extra gentle. I don't need them but surely someone in the rustbelt will.....

It's one of the topics Dave is going to address during the project. It should be within the Mustang Monthly article that Jim Smart will write.

What? That is awesome, congrats on being featured on MM! Way too cool.

Seriously, if you could find out what the VIN is I'd love to know. It's a long shot, but it does appear to be clean enough to have come from CA. If it IS my old one it'd be neat to have the VINs from it (if you'll be cutting them out).

I hope Dave can post here since I canceled my MM subscription and went to Modified Mustangs and Fords, since they switched their format to ALL CLASSICS! I'd like to see how he handles the frame rails where they join the floor supports. :thu

He probably won't post here. He's going through a separation with his wife right now and I think work is the only thing keeping him sane. I will be putting up a build thread once the stuff gets started and melded together.

Sorry to hear that. Did he ever finish that bad @$$ boss he was building?

I don't think that thing will ever be finished....lol. The owner keeps throwing new ideas and other cars at him.
