FRONT END WOBBLE AT HIGHWAY SPPEDS

I am trying to track down a wobble that happens with my wife's 68 coupe (PS, PDB, 289). It only happens at highway speeds an will not stop until you get under 30. I can jack the car up and shake the tire (pulling on side in while pushing the other side out) and it moves a little. It more prominent on the driver side. I have check all the tie rods and wheel bearings and they seem OK. All suspension components are stock and have less than 5K miles on them.

I just cannot seem to locate the offending component. Any Help?

It would seem obvious but have you had the wheels balanced? Are they new wheels/rims?

Sounds like your wheel bearings are a little loose. You should have no noticable movement when test ING it like you described.

One thing I did not mention, it does not always do this. it seems to do it more when the road is not smooth. Almost like the roughness encourages the vibration.

A rough road will help induce the wobble no matter what it is caused by....any issues mentioned.

Took the Mustang to discount tire and the driver side need 2oz of more weight. The passenger side was dead on. Time for some more highway testing tonight.
