Fuel Line Clamp

Hello Fellow Mustangers,

I have a 66GT with Aircon and Power Steering, I have a new fuel line clamp to fit, the one that clamps the fuel line to the timing chain cover, what I want to know is exactly which of the bolts holds the clamp in place, I am guessing it is the first one from the top on the drivers side, which also holds the top power steering bracket, is this right, and if so, I am guessing the clamp goes between the power steering bracket and the timing chain cover.

Could someone please clarify this for me.

Thanks

Wouldn't the current routing of the fuel line dictate which bolt you can use? Is it a hard line?

Hey Cmayna,

Yes the current fuel line is a hard line, the part that runs up the front of the engine from the fuel pump to the front of the carby, the clamp I have is an original type that attaches to one of the bolts that also keeps the timing chain cover in place. I think its the same particular bolt as I described above. What I need to know is how the clamp is attached, does it actuall go between the power steering pump bracket and the timing chain cover or not?

Cheers

I don't have a concours correct answer but being a hard line I question if you have much choice? Without putting any stress on the hard line which position seems the easiest or correct to you?
