Fuel pressure regulator routing

Im sure this has been beat to death, but I am wondering if this setup would work for fuel plumbing on my engine. See attached professional sketch.

I know the "best" routing is to use a y feeding each rail and then have each rail input into the regulator and return from there. I just don't really see how to do that and keep a clean looking engine without multiple lines going everywhere.

Maybe too late to this discussion but as far as I know you should go this way. Tank to filter to fuelpump to one fuelrail over to the other fuelrail and then to the fuel pressure regulator and then to the returnline back to the fueltank. IMHO.
