Decided to blow the dust off this project today. First project was to reconfirm the height of the float off the bottom of the tank's floor, making sure the pedistals I made reflected these dimensions, at both 1/4 and 1/2 tank level.
Next decided to reinforce the fixture to help keep the sending unit's opening angle at an exact 45* off the floor angle, by welding a couple wire braces. Totally day and night.
My goal is to make this project bullet proof so if anyone wants to send their sending unit to me, I can tweat it. My only concern is that I am using my own 65 or 67/68 gauges, not the one in a fellow member's car.
