Funky old rear view mirror

Sluggo suggested the other day that there are some here interested in junk, so I thought I'd post some of the stuff I've been getting out of my father in law's buildings.
This gizmo is a fairly large outside mirror, with a red light on the front. Why you'd want a red light on the front is beyond me, but what do I know. It comes with an interchangeable blue lens to create even more confusion among oncoming traffic. Marked on the bottom "Standard Mirror Corp, Buffalo, NY", it was made in the good ol' U S of A. The chrome isn't perfect, but it isn't bad, either, and the light shines proudly when energized. I'm gonna put it on Craig's List for $10 and take offers, but if any list member thinks they just gotta have it, 5 bucks and shipping and it's yours.

Neat. Perhaps made for emergency vehicles, could be retrofit as part of the flashing light package?

+1....a red on one side, the blue on the other....wired thru a flasher.....

I like it. they were in use in states like Utah where they are able to make the cop cars look like everything else on the road.

PM me your address, I might be interested in it, I have to think about it. It is cool and would look good on a coupe painted black and white to copy a Fox body cop car. You may also be able to get an amber color lens and use if for a blinker...Just would have to find one for the other side....

Um, you should take it to an antique dealer, I bet it may be worth a bit more...

Well, ummm... this is pretty embarassing, but I dropped the dam thing & broke the red lens. It's still holding, but it's seriously more than a crack.
PM sent anyway...
