Gauge cluster harness needs help

Some of the wires on my gauge harness look like they have been overheated at some point in time. I want to replace the wires but I could use some help on a few things.

What type and gauge wire should be used?

Is there a place to get new pins for the wires I want to replace? I have a feeling I will probably break a few trying to get them out of the plastic housing.

Contact Midlife.....he does that stuff as an extra activity when he skips free of the house.

It will cost you more to buy new pins, wiring, and the required tools than it will to have me refurbish the dash cluster harness.
