Gauge Warn Settings

Auto Meter gauges are hooked up... there are a few things that need to be done... trimming the R-model gauge panel to fit and making some turn signal LED lights.

Now that I have accurate readings, I feel safer...

Oil pressure at idle sits at 45-50psi, then jumps to 60psi while driving. The water temperature gauge while idling went up to 210°F before turning off the engine and drops to 180°F while driving. Volt meter stays in the range of 12-14.

At what setting should I use for each for the WARN lights? TIA

I would probably go 20 on the oil...........215 on the temp........and 11.5 on the volts. If you bump those numbers to often, might need looking at.

I'd say 22.5 oil, 217 water and 11.25 volts.

Is that where yours was set when it went bang.....?

Must not say bad things...... :lol :lol

No.

Actually my oil pressure dropped to 10, temp was 180 and I have no idea on the volts.

Amazing what an empty lifter hole will do to oil pressure :scar

BTW, :nk
