I went to the meet tonight, and the Ford guy was there and brought this for me. :vic Little dirty as it was hanging up in his barn so going to get that cleaned up tomorrow and put on.
Wow, getting car parts is like Christmas morning!

FYI, you'll be VERY lucky if it just "drops right in". You'll likely need to do a combination of prying at the firewall holes and jacking the car up under the crossmember and letting it hang for a day or two. I got lucky with mine and only had to pry it at the firewall.

Kat,
Nice find there. Are you planning, in the near futue, to clean and paint the engine bay? I ask for when you start adding things like this export brace, it becomes much harder to work on the firewall, etc. Also if you need to work on things like master brake booster, etc having this brace in place makes it a little bit more difficult.

So before you install it, look around at to what it might be covering up or blocking your access to.

You know Kat, my 67 has the same valve covers. The first car I built in 1980 had the same ones too.

You are on the right track, just keep turning the crank so to speak. Be patient and it will all come together. It takes time for it to all happen.

Eh, I don't know. I'd like to get the engine bay fixed up (fix the rust hole) and repainted and nice lookin, but that's a lot of work trying to paint around all the stuff in there because I am not taking out the engine - it may never start again. :lol

Well, Kat I am sure we can find a support team to help you take it out and clean it up and get her nice and pretty! I hear there is great pig hunting in Texas....Hint!

We have many Texas members.

I heard my husband talk aboult wild boar hunting around these parts. Couldn't say personally as I've never been hunting for boar or deer or any furry critter. Ron White said it best... "it has nothing to do with how I think it might somehow be more holy to eat meat that's been bludgeoned to death by someone else, that's not it. It's really early in the morning, it's really cold outside, and... I don't wanna go." :lol

I've been checking pawn shops and craiglist for tools like air compressors, welders, etc. One day I might get everything I need!

Be patient. It takes time. Believe me it does not happen over night. Pawn shops are good, but be careful with the big ticket items. sometimes the used ones there are the same price as new online.
