Going to Alabama-"Bama Bash" end of Feb.

That is the plan, Green Valley Speedway, Glencoe Alabama, a good friend of mine has a brother that has always been a gearhead, he went to calif when he was a teenager and drag raced and worked for western airlines, western closed and he went to Delta and moved to atlanta, he is into stock cars now and he asked his brother if he and I would like to come help them at al. race, he is paying for our flight to Atlanta and our pit passes for four days there, we are renting a car and paying for our room, couldn't pass it up even if it is a toyota clip with a chevy engine car. He gets a break on our flights but he is still shelling out around 400 bucks for us to go there. He is 67 years old and builds the engines for the car, I went to his house in California in 1975 and 1981 for a week or so, I hope he doesn't party now like he did then! I could not take that anymore, plus there is that testing b.s. when I work, the wife never said much about me going since we are going to Ireland in mar/apr, she did say does that mean we aren't going to vegas around halloween? I replied I am going to Vegas.

I am looking forward to some better weather, the weatherman said it has been 10 days since we have seen the sun! I don't get much time in a mixer here in the winter, they usually just run a skeleton crew, breaks my heart to draw unemployment while looking outside from the warm cozy house. I also think my buddys brother is gonna to let us get involved a little bit in between races helping on their car, should be a blast.
 
Darn it, every time I read this title, I think this thread should be in the PW politics forum.

Wow, Sounds like fun though.
