Going to the Olympics in Vancouver (JohnPro's blog link)

Re: Going to the Olympics in Vancouver

Very cool John, I'll make the topic sticky so the link is available to everyone.

Hope you and Tracey have a great time up there.
And remember without pictures...it didn't really happen!!! :lol

I'm already here! I am out in Surrey.

I am running From Capilano University to Cypress Mountain. Until last night there was very little snow. They have been trucking it in and using a Helo-crane. The truckers get paid by the load and the chopper is $250 per second to run. It snowed last night about 3-4 inches. It looks like it is snowing right now, but it could be rain, so.....

John, bring lots of money. A cheeseburger and fries is $12. Take the price of a meal in the US and double it and you will be just about what it costs here.

Have fun John. Looks like your gonna have a great time. I'll be following your blog! Looks pretty cool. Enjoy!

I went to the mall today here in Surrey and then to the grocery store. Man prices are very high. Garlic powder was $5. The throw away salt and pepper was $5.99.

Bring lots of cash!

Mel

Very cool. I bookmarked your blog, and I look forward to the coverage of your Olympics experience!

Oh, and if you don't post pics, it never happened.

Have fun!

I made a new entry on the blog yesterday and posted pictures of our tickets.

Man, it was 60 degrees today, There are waterfalls from the snow melt on Cypress Mountain. I didn't bring any clothes for hot weather.

Super nice though. Gotta love the summer weather here! I am missing the snow and rain at home.

Hehehe, I was up on Cypress today. I haul up the workers. Yesterday when it was summer weather, I went downtown and saw the torch.

Some of the pics you posted of the ski cross, I have been to. Was there today. If you happen to see an unmarked generic silver Prevost bus going to Capilano U, it is probably me.

I don't have any more days off until it is over.

Have fun John!!!

Been enjoying following your blog...now...how about a
photo of you and Tracy with the Vancouver 2010
flag/sign behind you...or...in winter clothes (which would
be a first for us to see !!!!!!!
Glad you're enjoying yourselves

I just visited the blog, and I'm only seeing half of the pictures...I mean, only the left half of each picture. Is this a problem with Firefox or what?
