Gone in 60 seconds

Always on vacation!
Well, I caught the new one on TV and when it was done, I went down stairs and got the original and put it in and watched it.

Makes me want a 73 sports roof.

The acting in the first one just plain old sucked. I did notice a bunch of things that were the same, also in the new one did you notice in the chase at the end there was a Dodge Charger, 70s vintage, I think it was when he was driving backwards or something.

The car chase in the first one was for sure the better of the two.

I just love watching those movies!

Yes I know different movie that I have not seen yet but...

I am sure that you have seen Bullitt, the acting was OK but the plot??

I liked the original GISS just because of the the 60's and 70's cars in the film. But then again Angelina Jolie :craz in the new GISS. fd

Nick Cage....another life member of "Over Actors Anonymous".
Eddie Albert is a founding member.

Add any you see fit to....requirements are over reaction, quiet contemplation and yelling to counter non-acting talent.

This is not to be confused with the "Can't Act Club" which has Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal as members.

Wasn't William Shatner named President of this club?

the original. I expected a lot more. It was just a nut delivering a Challenger. The chase scenes were sped up, the acting sucked and the plot was weak at best. The original Gone was bad but many times better than Vanishing point IMO. I did like the nude chick on the motor cycle and the the old dude catching snakes but that was about it. The DJ stuff was pretty stupid. No offense to those who liked it but even Bullitt was much better (as slow as it was at times). And the ending made no sense at all. Is the remake any better?

The remake is terrible. That guy from Lord of the Rings is Kowalski and this time his kid is sick in the hospital and he needs to get there. I never can watch it.

The original had a bit of anti-establishment in it which is lost in the present showings....one of those "you had to be there" type movies.

The movie probably wasn't that bad but I was expecting something really good. I had heard so much about it. So maybe if I had just seen it without knowing about it beforehand I would have liked better. The two Gone movies were a surprise, I saw a comercial for the remake when it first came out and went to see it. Then someone told me it was a remake so I found that and watched it. No hype on either one originally.
