Good white athletic shoe cleaner?

Anyone have a good cleaner for white athletic shoes? I have a nice pair that I can clean but the damn stitching won't come clean and makes them look crappier than they are. Typical cleaners like Simple Green and 409 seem to clean the leather parts just fine but the stiching is dirty. I want to try the "white" shoe cleaners but they have a color to them that I worry will streak or discolor the colored parts of the shoes.
I know, I know...stupid question. But I've seen some doozies here before too...lol :lol

ave you tried to soak in in lemon simple green and/or work it in with a used toothbrush?

Don't know if it'll discolor your colored shoe parts but I always use a light spray of Westly's bleach white on my leather white shoes. Same stuff I use to clean my tires before i shine them. I use someone else's tooth brush to give it a quick brush and then mist off the shoe and wipe it with a wet rag. Comes out as clean as it can.

I recently bought some new white tennis shoes and guess how I treated the whiteness? Took them to the garden and rubbed dirt all over them. Then I mowed the lawn in them. Then I picked up plums in them. Now they're looking pretty good.

When I played football in high school, I would tape off the shoes and spray paint them white. Worked great :nta
