Got 16 applicants total on those scholarships

(I am following up on a previous post.)Eight of those were last day. I guess I should not be suprised, a friend of mine was telling me of a peoria county illinois scholarship given by the Peoria county police that I believe he said was for several $500 scholarships--the population of peoria county is 186,500 and out of the graduating seniors they had 8 apply. I guess 500-750 scholarships don't draw enough attention to make an effort. Or maybe there are too many parents or grandparents that just foot the bill, or the students put it all on a loan, oh well at least we have 16 who made the effort.
