Hint: When tree guys are clearing power lines or just taking down trees for whatever reason, stop and talk to 'em. The companies don't sell the mulch but look to drop it quickly. A little cash in the driver's pocket will help him remember you next year. Last year I had 4 loads dropped. It took 3 1/2 to do my yard. The 12' trailer to the left was used and I think I filled/spread 18 or 20 trailer loads. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Wednesday a week ago they started coming again since they're working in the area. This is what they've left so far and there are 3 more truckloads that I've had drop in a different area. Saw the guy Thursday when he was dropping and his last words were, "See ya Monday". What really gets under your skin about this stuff is these guys, without having a house to drop at, will take this stuff to a mulch yard where it is sent back through a grinder, colored, and sold for $20-$25 a scoop. The drivers actually enjoy dropping it somewhere else where somebody can use it and not get ko67'ed having to pay for it. Total in the past week and a half is 10 truckloads and yes, my buddies are enjoying free mulch.
