Got mulch?

Hint: When tree guys are clearing power lines or just taking down trees for whatever reason, stop and talk to 'em. The companies don't sell the mulch but look to drop it quickly. A little cash in the driver's pocket will help him remember you next year. Last year I had 4 loads dropped. It took 3 1/2 to do my yard. The 12' trailer to the left was used and I think I filled/spread 18 or 20 trailer loads. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Wednesday a week ago they started coming again since they're working in the area. This is what they've left so far and there are 3 more truckloads that I've had drop in a different area. Saw the guy Thursday when he was dropping and his last words were, "See ya Monday". What really gets under your skin about this stuff is these guys, without having a house to drop at, will take this stuff to a mulch yard where it is sent back through a grinder, colored, and sold for $20-$25 a scoop. The drivers actually enjoy dropping it somewhere else where somebody can use it and not get ko67'ed having to pay for it. Total in the past week and a half is 10 truckloads and yes, my buddies are enjoying free mulch.

Yep, I've done the same thing, but on a lesser scale. After three truckloads I told them I was GTG. I didn't think I was ever going to get it all spread, but a pitchfork makes the work easier.

I've basically told these guys to come as long as they're in the area. A pitchfork does make it easier but it chaps a man when he's using a pitchfork looking across the yard wondering, "Why in the world haven't I got that bobcat fixed."

OMG I HATE MULCH!!!

My son is a Boy Scout and I'm the idiot who signed up for a committee position (ways and means) so I'm in charge of fundraisers.
Mind you - I'm dealing with a bunch of parents who refuse to use common sense and are just a bunch of :fbomb tards!!!
We have an annual mulch sale and our mulch delivery is scheduled for today. I clearly stated that it would be delivered between 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. At 7:45 my phone blows the :fbomb up with parents asking where their :fbomb mulch is. I told them to go read their email and that they needed to be patient.
I hate people.

Next year, I'm giving parents a map following the tree guys. This seems much easier than dealing with a mulch company and irate parents who have nothing better to do than wake up at the asscrack of dawn to bother me. :rp
