Got My Boat Finally!

My Baja 38 Marine Special finally was delivered today. Damn, it's a sweet boat--and huge! It was so cool to see it coming down the street. Next month, a friend and I will tow it down to San Carlos, Mexico, which will be its permanent home. I'll post some pictures of it tomorrow.

Wow, that took forever, how long has it been since you posted about it? What was the delay, legal stuff? (Feel free to tell me none of you effin business) I'm just curious...

Congrats! I'm looking forward to the pics.

When are you scheduling the first annual StangFix Meet In Mexico event?

I believe, some years back, Az. had more boats than any other state....and less water.....................gotta have something to park beside the house.

Originally, I was going to pick it up in April but decided it was too much for me to trailer by myself so I asked for it to be delivered. Their transporter had a busy schedule and just when it was my turn, he was towing a 32-foot boat and a trailer tire blew. The boat was totaled. I was rather relieved it wasn't mine!

Hey, Arizona has loads of big boating lakes, but that's not where I'll be using this. I'll be in the Sea of Cortez where I can open it up. With the twin Chevy engines (yeah, I know), it is capable of doing 85 mph.

Fast enough to out run the DEA boats, right? :confu LOL

Hmmmm, I really don't think there are any DEA boats operating 250 miles south of the border in a non-drug-smuggling area. About all that is smuggled in San Carlos are a few cases of cervezas and some lobsters.

I just want to say Laurie ( without knowing you personally ) that with your career and your love of Mustangs and diving adventures and now this Bad Ass boat that will be tearing up the Sea of Cortez....you are one cool lady. :thu

You are too kind, sir. :thu

Here are some pictures of the boat:

Toy of the Month!!! LOL I'll be hauling it to Mexico next month and then the fun starts! :steer

"Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?

"If they fell forwards, they'd still be in the bloody boat."

LOL! My dive instructor will do a front roll off a boat to avoid reinjuring his knee. He told me to try it because I have back problems, but I'm too chicken to roll face first. I prefer a giant stride and will be able to do that off my boat.

Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess....

'Will you marry me?'

The Princess said, "NO!!!"

And the Princess lived happily ever after and drove and restored Mustangs and went fishing and scuba diving and played golf and drank beer and tequila and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat down and farted whenever she wanted.

The End

You got that right! I've spent most of my life doing what was expected of me and then taking care of my parents until the passed away. Well, it's my time now and I intend to enjoy myself!
