Granada Swap - Outer Tie Rods

Quick question, when doing the granada swap on a 66 which outer tie rods are better to use Granada or 70 mustang??? I believe both will work but one may require trimming to fit, does anybody know for sure???

the Granada requires a different taper than the 66 Mustang so the 66 tie rods will not work. I honestly don't recall when the Mustang taper changed so I'm not sure if the 70 will work. When I did the swap on my 67 I used Granada outer tie rods.
There is also some issues with the Granada spindles on pre-67 because of the geometry changes. Contact BobV for the details as he has some horror stories to tell when he did the swap.

I believe NPD or Mustangplus has parts for the granada setup so they must have the tie rods also.

Mustang Steve used to sell taper adapters so that you can use the 66 tie rods IIRC...

There is a slight variation in the 70 tie rods compared to the granadas. They will work but recommend using the granada tie rods.
