OK, the title says it all.
I just finished my 100% restoration of my 65 Conv. I think it came out great. I took many liberties in the name of drive ability, safety and fun. When I started restoring this car (that I drove in High School ~25 years ago), I wasn't wanting a show car, but a car I could drive and perhaps I could pass down to my kids.
Anyway, back to now. My "C" code 65 has been "upgraded" to a "A" code with a Autolite 4100 carb, and dual exhaust, power steering/brakes, dual MC. The original 3 spd has been replaced with a T5 Tremec. and the plain convertible is now a "tribute", "clone" or what ever the current name is for a post factory GT modded car. I really like my car, and would like to show it off. I'm obviously not claiming a Factory GT Conv, but I don't want to be looked down on by purists (if they exist)
This is the question. At the upcoming MCA show in my home turf of Seattle, where should I show my car? On Saturday is the judged show. Is there a place there for my car? On Sunday is the "Peoples Choice" show. Is this more appropriate?
Except for a street show last weekend, I haven't had my car out on display. Any advice?
By the way, here is my car at the local show last weekend:
