Great column about the Detroit game last night. . .

It's too bad that the call was made wrong, but it happens. How Joyce and Galarraga handled it along with the rest of the Tigers is to be commended.

Anyone who's ever ump'd or ref'd a game knows how hard it is and the concentration that's required to see all the things and angles to make correct calls.
 
They should allow another ump to override, first or third can override a check swing. They should allow 3rd base to override first if he sees the play. They both have handled it very well, Selig is a dinosaur and should be put out of his misery along with Al Davis......Selig want make any changes. I want a job like that.
