Had Mustang Fun Yesterday

janschutz

Corn Hauler
I was going to get my Mustang inspected but my turn signal switch broke on right signal. I replace this and installed the side marker lights

Then finished polishing some stainless hardware

Finished up by washing both Mustang and giving them a good wax job. I then had some time to mop the garage floor.

Good job !

For me , my weekend had a mixed feeling.Fun and stressfull.

I have to align the door but before i can do this properly , i had to put on the hood and fenders.Fun :ecit :ecit

If everything would lign up correctly , I also had to put on the extension on the fenders .

But to fit them right , i had to struggle and finally i got stressed. :rp :rp :rp :rp

After 2 hours struggling my wife called for lunch .After lunch I went back to the basement to tackle the job again.

It took me 3 more hours and the result is very good. Its not 100% but still 98% and its good for me.

So Fun and Stress !!!

John: I thought one was not supposed to apply wax to a newly painted car for at least 30 days so the paint can cure correctly.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, no wax....you need to let that paint cure before closing all the pores up with wax. Even BC/CC vents off minute amounts days after it's "dry"

Put a part in a small enclosed space and see if you can smell solvent, if you can, it's still "curing".

I called the paint shop and they said bring it by. They said didn't we tell you not to wax. I said NO. I think they said something about polishing it again.
