Had some torn cartlidge trimmed on this morning, not a lot of pain, still numb I imagine, been limping for several weeks thinking it would "heal"--never got better, there goes my pole vaulting career! They did general anesth. this time(had left one done 7 years ago and watched it on camera)

Is this a result of your playing football with the Vikings?

I slept through the one today, was awake 7 years ago, the anisth. guy did not want to do a spinal today, he said it would take too long to wear off, I was also awake and watched my colonoscopy a couple years ago, (sorry no pics there either) the very odd thing about todays procedure is the anithesiologist is a young guy that I had delivered concrete to his dads large hog farm, he used to help him while going to college. I was told I was difficult to intubate by other ansth.'s and this guy popped in after surgery and said they were right, I guess a career in gay porn is not in my future----darn the luck!!--lol, not

Hope it all heals up for you Rod!

I watched the doc fix my elbow back in 95, it was weird watching him smack my elbow with what looked like a hammer used to tenderize meat. Good as new though after all the therapy!

Good luck and glad they could trim it. If they were to sew it back together it would be no weight for six weeks. Take it easy on it. When I had my knee put back together I told the doctor to trim as much off the cartilage as possible and do everything possible to keep from sewing it. Good doc, followed orders, told me I would continue to have problems, still do. Sometimes it locks up, sometimes it goes out. I went back a few years ago and he told me there was really nothing he could do except sew it. I told him "no" and asked him what the end result was gonna be leaving it like it is. Evidently one of these days my knee will just completely lock into place and at that time I won't have a choice. They gave me a cd of pics during the surgery. Pretty cool stuff. Before pics looked like schrapnel, after pics looked like a carpenter had went in and put everything back together all nice and clean with a few screws.

i fd up my knee yesterday and will get some xrays tommorow to see if i need anything done. can't be worse then anything ive had to do over the past few months
