hangers for exhausts

hello everybody

I need to change a couple of hangers and clips at the back of the dual exhaust pipe of a Mustang 289 Coupe 1966. I believe diameter is 1 3/4.
Could someone tell me if i can use standard hangers from a more recent car so that it would be easier, cheaper and quicker to find...

I buy standard exhaust hangers and then modify and weld to fit.
