Happy Birthday Dear Mustangs.......

RagTop

Old Grumpy
Today is the 50th birthday of both of the family's '69 Mustangs. Back in the day the Ford Motor Company's customer service department used to provide owners a letter on FoMoCo stationary based on your VIN that described your car as built and gave the actual build date. I submitted both my son's '69 H code SportsRoof and my '69 F code convertible and was amazed that both cars were built on October 2, 1968 at the San Jose Assembly Plant in Milpitas, CA. The door tag production planned dates on the two cars were about ten days apart, but those could slip as a function of the plant loading. Anyway, the SportsRoof is off getting refurbished and my convertible is sitting in the garage as I write. Maybe I'll take it out for a ride and a beer.:)

My car was built in a old castle by a mad scientist...made from old parts of others....bwaaaaa

Yes. Drove to Hot August Nights and will be in Santa Cruz show in November
