Marion would have been a whopping 106 years old today for those that care. He passed away June 11, 1979 though (for those that don't remember). Who's Marion Morrison some of you may ask? You may have known him better as "The Duke" or his stage name, John Wayne. Rest in peace Duke. Hope you're up there entertaining all our service members who paid the ultimate price for us!

I've been to his HQ in Yellow Ribbon and now heading to his home in Inishfree (sp?) (Cong, Ireland) next week.
 
Back when I was in the Boy Scouts a former leader in our troop got a position at the Newport Beach Sea Base. We would paddle around in the canoes in Newport bay. One dude was like oh that is John Waynes house. Corner lot right there on the bay. Probably never there when I was, but it was still cool to see one of his homes.
