Nice! I've still got my 86 that my dad bought new. Can't kill them. I mounted a tire to the front bumper of mine and use it to push dead cars in and the outta the garage.

Great job! My brother gave me a '97 Fourtrax that my nephew had beaten the last inch of life out of. I basically did the same thing you've done and mechanically rebuilt it from the ground up. I stripped everything from the frame and went entirely through it. Thank god for Ebay! Some of the missing pieces (and there were a LOT!), would have been cost prohibitive to buy new. I've got, basically, a brand new four wheeler with just over $1k in it!

BTW, the new mechanical stuff I bought was from a place called Babbitts Sports Center. I'd highly recommend them for service and price. You get factory Honda parts, not cheap Chinese junk and the prices a extremely good!

Hear Hear Bruno.
How anyone would prefer Imperial over metric is beyond me.
We changed in OZ in 1973, so i only had 12 years of Imperial before that, but now i work in Autocad all day i wouldnt have it any other way.
Everything bearks down to units of 1, 10, 100, 100.
So much simpler :soapboxrant

I prefer metric because I suck at fractions.

Watchmaking school converted me to metric. I now use a metric tape measure for everything. What is half of 11 and 9/32 inches? What is half of 286.6 mm? See the advantage?

I have to know both systems because any archaeological report must use the metric system. I actually have to use a third system because on any historic dig, we must do everything in tenths of inches. Drives you crazy!

I didn't know they made 7.62cm tape measures?

Metrics easy you just take imperial, double it and add 30.

Life ain't fun if it is too easy.

What's worse that Imperial or Metric is when both are used on the same item.

In the electricity industry here the pole crossarms are sized as 2.4, 2.7 or 3 metres long & 5x4, 6x4 or 7x5 inches in diameter!

Worse is when i start working on my British Velocette and need either BS or Whitworth spanners
