Heartbroken, My Cat is Missing

My family for the last year has consisted of me, my border collie, Cheyenne, and my kitten, Karma. I got Karma when she was two months old and she just turned a year old in June. I considered her birthday to be Murphy's birthday since the dates matched closely. A couple weeks ago, she discovered the doggie door in my bedroom (patio door) and would escape to the backyard now and then. The backyard is all fenced and she always stayed on the porch or nearby. I didn't like it, but couldn't stop it. I got her a breakaway collar, and she lost it last week. Early Thursday morning, I heard her go outside. I haven't seen her since and I'm just sick. I just spent two hours walking the neighborhood looking for her and posting flyers, but she has vanished. I don't know what to do.

Sorry to hear she's missing. We have several cats that have gotten out from time to time but luckily always stayed close. I know how upsetting it can be to have her missing.
Hopefully she will find her way home.

Be sure to call the Humane Society and Dog Pound in case Karma got picked up. I had a cat once that wandered off, and someone a couple of blocks trapped it and took it to the pound.

I'm going to do that today. She does have a microchip because I always was afraid that this would happen. I feel like my heart has been ripped out. She is such a loving, sweet, funny cat. Cheyenne is missing her, too. They are playmates.

We had a cat go missing for 3-4 days, several times, but it eventually made its way back home. You'll be ok.

I'm sorry you have lost your cat, but....

In owning two dogs, I have little appreciation for cats. They have their own way about themselves.

They are their own persona and don't give a rat's arse about people, unless they need something....

Best of luck.

Sorry to hear about this Laurie. Hopefully someone found her and is waiting for a lost ad in the paper or took her to the local shelter and they will scan the micro-chip and we will hear soon of the happy reunion.

I hope so. I walked about three miles today with my dog looking for her and putting up fliers. Nothing so far.

Sorry to hear this news Laurie. I hope she's found or returns soon.

Has Randy been in Tucson lately?????

Sorry to hear Laurie.....I know how it can be with pets in Az. Hope she returns fat and sassy....

Sorry to hear your loss Laurie.

We have lost three cats in the last four years to the birds of prey and coyotes... We have two left and when they are gone, no more!

Maybe you should call Mike and see if he has been near, you know how he is around cats!!!! :yah

I couldn't resist.

I do hope all turns out ok!

Mel
