I bought a new Cloyes timing set for my '67 with a '69 302. Upon opening I was greeted with the attached warning note. Comparing the old and new sprockets I see the new sprocket is flat on the face while the old one sticks out about 1/8 - 1/4", see picture. Should the spacer have been included with the new timing set? Using it as-is would cause the fuel pump lever to ride too close to the end of the eccentric.
