Hemi...? Can ya Hemi now?

Got the mill for the '28 model A coupe.

It's a '51 Chrysler 331 hemi.

Check out the trans, it's an automatic with a clutch to get it going. It also had a rear drum at the yoke for a mechanical E brake. Pretty sweet!

Almost all fo the Chrysler product big block automatic transmissions had the emergency brake on the tailshaft of the tranny. I destroyed several New Yorkers and a Polara (they were not worth saving - mr Rust had take his toll on them) that had the push button transmission and that brake drum was on all of them. I do still have the Carter AFB out of the 59 New Yorker I had - it has mechanical secondaries and also had a leather accelerator pump seal in it when I rebuilt it....
