New guy here from Northeastern Washington. Just found this site and decided to join. I got my '67 Fastback in 1982 at the ripe old age of 12 years old. Dad and I hauled it home in three truck/trailer loads for a father-son project. Finally got it ready for the road in 1986 just in time for some high school cruisin' with a decent 302 then got bit by the drag racing bug. Took it to the track a couple of seasons with that motor and ran a few high 12, low 13 second times. But, as it usually always goes, I needed to go faster. So in 1990 we built a full roller 13.5:1 nitroused Clevor Boss 302 for it and managed to run a best of 10.32 @ 127 with the tires breaking loose going into high gear and promptly got shut down by the track officials because it didn't have a cage in it. I couldn't bring myself to cut it up for a cage or more tire and about that time started my own family so the car got set aside until early last year. Now, since MY boys are at that age where they are really starting to get into cars, I figured it's time to get back into things again. Afterall, I GOTTA keep them interested in American muscle and away from the tuner Fast and Furious crowd. Anyway, the car is now in the process of a complete frame up rebuild but the days of drag racing it are pretty much giving way to the desire for a nasty twin turboed and nitroused 347 street/show car. I'm shooting for somewhere around 1000 horsepower on the nitrous. Of course, I'm sure it will have to hit the track a few times but for the most part it's just going to be a cruiser.

HI and Welcome!! A very nice introduction indeed! I'm sure we'd love to see some photos of your crazy fast mustang :yah!!!!

Welcome aboard, always nice to hang on to things with memories to pass down to the kids, especially a Mustang. There are a couple of guys on the board from southern Washington, Vancouver and washougal if my memories serves me right. I lived in Vancouver, WA from 03-06 until I was finally able to come back home to Cali.

CAnt wait to see some pics of the ride.

Welcome to the Fix. I am down in Camas but make my way up to the Spokane area at least once a year. (Take the kids up to visit great grandma.) As the others have mentioned I would also be interested in seeing the car as well. Twin Turbo AND nitrous!!! Sounds like that would be one heck of a ride. :thu

I knew it, it is official everyone, I AM GETTING OLD! Sorry my man, didn't mean to get Camas (Paper mill town) confused with Washougal which is further up river on The 14.

I saw a graphic T-shirt that made reference to a midget tossing competition in Spokane? Sounds like a interesting town :shee.

Oh yeah! we need pics! Still got the Clevor Boss? I always wanted to build one of those back in the day...

We send our resident StangFix representative; KO to give you the "official" welcome if you don't post some pics.
