High speed blowout! Fun fun fun.

Did you know that computer traction control and torque vectoring systems in a volvo s60 can help you control a car with a catastrophic blowout on the front tire at 80 mph? Ask me how I know. I am sure that a better driver would not have needed the high tech help, but it was nice for a crappy driver like me. There is an extra pleat in the center of the seat where my ass gripped it and my steering wheel has finger indentions now, but all is well.

Been there, done that too. All in a busted ass Ranger work truck on the Memphis super collider(I-240 loop). Left front tire exploded, sending the wheel cover into traffic to be hit by an 18 wheeler, tire shreded itself before I could get off the road, leaving a trail of sparks. Then I find out someone had "borrowed" the jack.

I nearly choked on my coffee when I got to this part! Glad to hear you made it out of a bad situation safely. Sometimes computers really do make our lives better!

If past history is any indication that won't be necessary...they will take themselves out. Ankle,shoulder, big toe etc etc :rant

Yeah, but when you factor in the drawl, it all sounds the same.
 
Another fun fact is that this car came with no spare and no jack. It did come with free roadside assistance. I bought the wheel/ tire warranty (sucker bet). This is the second tire they are replacing. They are replacing the rim as well because whatever i ran over bent the rim.
