Again, my open tracker knock-off's, what is it they say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? What can I say, I like John's idea's, I have to say though that I could never make any money at it, these things take alot of time... Anyways, here is my attempt at roller perches, enjoy... and as usual feel free to point out any glaring potential failure points...

Repro perches to start with:

Cut out the binding (is that a feature) shaft:

More bearing sleeves from the lathe:

Shafts, decided to use snap rings on both sides, not sure how John does it):

Test fit & tack:

Weld with the sacrificial set of bearings (from the UCA's):

Look good. I wonder though, how will the access to the shock mount nut be. I believe John leaves an indentation there for the tools to access the nuts.

Good job, John modified his RP so there is a wider gap between the cylinders to allow for easy access to the shock bolts.

Soon , i gonna tackle this job too but i gonna use the orig shaft.
The housing for the bearing will be the same as here in this topic.

Is it for race purpose or street ????

Bruno,

the std roller perch is for the street AND can be used on track. John has also designed a double roller perch that lets the shock pivot separate from the perch. That, is primarily for the track.

I've had both and they are one of the best mods you can do to the suspension!

Those are some stout looking spring perches, nice work ! They do take a long time to build. The first one took me 8 hours ( for one ) since I had never seen one before. The second one only took me 4 hours.

We can do it a little quicker than that now. :vic

John's are awesome. Best mod you can make to the front end, but he's got some other really, really cool stuff, too!

John's roller perches are a piece of art work.

I have one have half installed in my car. Been that way for a month. I might get all the work I want done finished by the fall :)
