hood to cowl gap 65/66?

About as big as any other gap (e.g. fender to hood, door to fender, etc.).

how big should the gap be between the hood and cowl on 65/66 cars?

thanks,

This is a tricky one because the front of the hood must align with the headlight doors. I had to bring my hood a bit forward to meet the headlight doors correctly.

As you see, it depends on a lot of other adjustments. If the fenders are wrong, the headlight doors may be off, requiring the hood to be different. This can also come from the doors being a bit off. You need to work the car from the doors and get them to what fits for your car. Each car might be different.

"Each car may be different". Had all gaps very good on 65 cvt., but hood DID have a wider gap at the cowl. Fenders were good with the headlite buckets, etc. so 'lived with it'!
