Today, I bonded with both kids and both Mustangs along the NorCal coast. Can't think of a better way to enjoy this day.

We did have a great supper and evening.

Woke up at 7 to the sound of my son trying to talk to momma. He greeted me with a big smile and a laugh, and what sounded like dadadadada...and then he made fart noises at me.
By 8, I was ripping apart the ac to clean the coil, blower motor and return, by 1130 I was ripping out carpet in the office, then at 1, I helped my wife paint the office, then at 4, we took 3 rooms worth of old carpet and padding to the dump. During the breaks, I played with the youngin till he was hungry, fed him, then put him down for his naps.
And now, I need to take my worn out ass to bed because I have to get up at 4am to drive a 6 hour round trip for a 10 minute job before the bank branch opens.

But I did get a sweet card, dinner, and homemade pecan pie muffins, which are freakin awesome.

I hung out with my family today. My dad tells us that the best fathers day gift he got was when my mom did the dishes.... :))

The wife and I took a back roads cruise with a couple of friends out to the coast and had a picnic, picked up some artichokes from a roadside stand, stopped at Gizdich Ranch for an Ollalieberry pie, and rounded it all off with wine tasting along Hecker Pass Highway before heading home. Drove about 100 miles. Then hooked up with the kids and headed out for Thai food for dinner at a local place they enjoy. Came back to the house for some pie and after a nice visit, the kids went home!

Fixed crap for the neighbours. Fixed a flat and serviced the tractor. Wife and kid and dog took off to pet smart. I know where I stand now.

Left the house before wife and kid woke and headed down to the shop to repair the hay wagon my father busted up last year. Then helped my father with the tractor and bailer. Once he was all set, I got the 69 out and cleaned her up a bit before I had to go back out and stack a few hundred bails. When the hay was done, the wife and my boy took the 69 out for ice cream and then a 50 mile cruise through the back roads.

Worked all day and got home about 9 pm. My little girl stayed up to see me. She made me a "Best Daddy" T-shirt. Pretty awesome coming home to that.

After Church, the kids came over and we spent the afternoon and evening eating, playing games and watching TV. The DIL made me a cake and I ate too much of it.

Washed and detailed my police bike and then took it down to the garage. When I got home I started working on the coupe until dinner time. The wife cooked me some of my favorites (baked red potatoes, fried green beans and bbq'd pork tenderloins). I ate so much I nearly popped! For the first time both kids and the wife got me father's day cards that were pretty nice. I also scored a Dewalt buffer that I wanted! :thu

Took my parents and my daughters to breakfast, then came home and spend 6 hours (!) installing a new garage door opener in 100+ degree heat. (At 8:00 pm swmbo comes into the garage and said I was supposed to relax on fathers day.)

We celebrated it with my FIl on Sat night - grilled Tri-Tip, roasted corn on the cob, Okoi (Filapino shrimp and sweet potato deal - very tasty), and my wife made Flan. It was scrumptious!

Sunday, the wife and I did yardwork and transferred pictures from our trip to London, Normandy and Paris.

Here's a neat pic I snapped at The Normandy National Cemetary, Omaha Beach on June 2, and a pic of Westminster Abbey.
