How about stabbing the muncie SM420 back into the truck. Slid the tranny on it's side under the truck. Tilted it back upright on the stand. Fed the cherry picker into the cab and connected the chains. Very easy compared to using a tranny or floor jack but I guess having a big ole hole in the floor helps? :shrug









 
Restored one harness; went to FedEX to drop off three harnesses. Went to WallyMart to get more storage bins. Went on-line to buy some Snap-On equipment.

What a day! Time for a nap...

Its an ebay holiday. They took away a week of my personal vacation and replace it with MLK and President's day :(
 
First day back at work after being off for 2 weeks (8 days of it in Maui).

My next holiday is Memorial day....
 
Picked up a new computer at Wally World this afternoon to replace the one I homebuilt 9 years ago. Nothing fancy,emachines 3.2 dual core with 20 inch monitor for 398. Couldn't rebuild the old one for that.
 
Spent the first half watching my daughters volleyball tournament.
After that went and traded my 350 for a family truckster for the Mrs. :nut

Not really a "holiday" for me, it's my normal day off. It was a holiday for the wife though. We "decided" she could spend some dead presidents on me. We went and got new skins on my truck, with her footing the bill. I was fortunate enough to get a set of identical tires the truck came with. The lucky thing is the tire store was able to locate a full set. It seems Michelin discontinued the model and size my truck came with (Cross Terrain 275/60-17). The store got a pair from Houston and the others they located in Alaska! They thought I probably got the last set in the U.S.!! I got 100k out of the last set!
 
No day off from work here either... but was able to squeeze a little time in during lunch to sandblast and spray a couple of coats of clear on the center pivot for a watts link that I'm putting together. UPS also dropped off a few more parts. The center started out as a piece aluminum bar stock that I've mostly milled at the local tech high school.

I apparently work for a Communist, but not racist, company. We get MLK off but not President's day...ironically, if not for George and Abe, there would not be a MLK day...
 
Far from a holiday at my desk today.

I spent all day doing three things at once...it was one of "those" days at the office that starts to make living on welfare in the ghetto sound good.
 
had 3 sets of bike tins come in over the weekend, so stripped & epoxy primed one set, & spent half a day straightening all the fender braces on another set. they should have been replaced, but quicker for me to fix them vs. waiting a couple weeks for a new set to come in from the left coast..
