My daughter is doing a power point presentation and needs to add a video to it. So how do you save a video file? FWIW it is this youtube. The Kelsey Briggs Story. I tried google video of Kelsey Briggs, and it is on other sites, but still the same problem. I cannot save it to my computer.

Check out this link @ cnet for some options on doing it.

Better suggestion Bill, however it is still not working. I have a different version something like 3.5.9 and the software is for 2.0.4
Yes I did F1 on the power point and also tried other video sites and IE :iesux google chrome. All nada. :beat

I use a firefox video capture plugin, that I can't remember the name of at the moment. It saves it as a flv file. I use another program called "Any Video Converter" to convert the file to something Microsoft understands. It converts just about any video file out there.

I use this site http://keepvid.com/. All you have to do is copy the link from the address bar of the youtube video and paste it into the box at the top of the page and it downloads it for you. There are a ton of sites that do this but this is one of the easiest.

Atube catcher is free and simple to use.

For someone that is rarely here you popped in at just the right time with the correct answer. Yes I did have to download more garbage on my computer, but it was good garbage that did the job that I needed. I puts it into a .WMV file that will work with power point. I thank you and my daughter thanks you. :10 :wor And Johnpro thanks you. :WP

Glad it worked out for you.

I helped design the GUI for Atube catcher, that's why I know it's simple to use. :)
