After 10yrs of staying home and raising my children, I might actually get a job at a daycare working in the infant room with babies 6wk old to 18mo old. The daycare wants me to come in Monday and do a trial work day from 9am to 6pm. :vic

Oh joy... diapers...crying... diapers... bottles... did I mention diapers?? :amaz

Sounds like a crappy job but go for it if that's what you want...... :lol

Good luck with it. My wife loved it when she had a job like that way back in our younger years.........

I'm not fond of the idea of dirty diapers, but if I get paid to do it, why the heck not. Just means I'll have some extra $ to fix up Gertrude! I'm getting ahead of myself. I don't even know if I'll get the job... but I can't help but think about that paycheck and getting disc brakes. :pbj

Congrats Kat! All sounds like parts money to me, LOL!

That said...better you than me. Diapers are been there done that material for me and I don't want to revisit those days unless I have grand kids some day many years down the road.

Good Luck Kat...extra money is always a good thing. By the way, what will you do with your young ones while you are at work ?? Just thinking if you have to pay for daycare for them, there might be very little Gertrude money left over ??

I have my boys in a Montessori school. Both were potty trained pretty young, but they still spent some time there in diapers. I honestly cannot fathom how those women who work there handle those kids so graciously.

Good on you, Kat, good luck and I hope you enjoy it (the work and the pay :$$$).

This is a Montessori school. :) As for my kids... they are older so no daycare/sitter needed for them. My daughter is 15 who babysits her brother who is 10. They'll be in school during the day, and after school from 3:30 until little after 4pm I'll have my daughter watch her brother until hubby gets home. So anything I make would really be to help pay bills and spend on Gert.

Are you saying Craig needs to be babysat?

No probably his diaper changed. :nk :eek

Oh and by the way congrats Kat hope it all works out for you. Always nice to have some extra funds to put toward the pony.

Congratulations Kat! as for me, watching my grandaughter once or twice a week is enough 'child care' for me! I love her dearly and would lay my life down for her, but darn she wears me out worse than installing a floor pan! :craz
