How many times a day does some one tell you "Cool Mustang"?

Here's the one in the family that gets all the comments.

The best to me is a couple neighbor kids that come by and check out the progress in the garage.

So the neighbor boy came over the other day and checked out the convertible project. He said "Man you Are a Car Warrior!" I think that was to a complement, but now after seeing part of a show I'm not so sure?

I picked up my Dad's vert yesterday for a car show today. I got a thumbs up from the passenger in a mini van, and later when I got gas at Costco I got a "nice car" when leaving. This is the first time in years that I have driven his vert without him in the passenger seat.

I've gotten more comments about the Mustang than I can count.

One memorable one is a year or more ago I was going to pick the boys up one Friday. Driving along kind of brain dead and a guy in a big F250 pulls up beside me, honks the horn just about scaring me to death and then give me a thumbs up.

Lately though, I haven't driven the car in at least two weeks and it doesn't get many comments in the garage....I've been too busy and heading to places most days after work that I don't want to drive the Stang. Don't even get me started on how busy the weekends have been lately and June is going to be even worse for free time (or lack of....) on the weekends.

Attached are a couple of pictures of some of the stuff we were up to last weekend.

I was washing my 69 vert in the driveway a few days ago and a young high school girl was walking by heading home from school. She gave me this shy smile and said "I love your car". Lately, however, I'm getting more of the "Are you the original owner?" type questions. Getting old is a b**ch!

I drove the Mustang to work this morning.

When I was leaving the garage at lunch I rev'd it up a little after going over a speed bump and set off the car alarm on a pickup parked by the bump on the other side of the lane, LOL!

After a trip to the gas station I was turning left out of the parking lot a woman who was older than dirt (about Pete's age, LOL!) was turning into the lot and despite having two or three cars behind her pretty much stopped to say something about 'beautiful car'.

Admit it, it made you "want her".

No, but she did say something about thinking tractors and blown motors were sexy and she asked for your phone number. I gave it to her.... hope you don't mind.
