I really don't mean to inconvenience you right now but I made a quick trip to London, England this past weekend and had my bag stolen from me in which contains my passport and credit cards. I know this may sound odd, but it all happened very fast. I've been to the embassy and they're willing to help me fly without my passport but I just have to pay for my ticket and settle some bills. Right now I'm out of cash plus I can't access my bank without my credit card here, I've made contact with them but they need more verification. I'll like for you to lend me some funds now and I'll pay back as soon as I get home. I need to get on the next available flight.

Please reply as soon as you can if you are ok with this so I can forward my details and where to send the money. You can reach me via Green Island hotel's desk phone, the number is 011447045709930 or via my blackberry at dr.stanford@msn.com

Thanks
Dr. Stanford.

Unfortunately, PT Barnum was correct...There's a sucker born every second, and some will fall for this scam.

While there is no shortage of idiots who would fall for something like this, the number of those idiots who actually have money available to piss away are much fewer. Now tell them there is a huge reward or lost fortune that can be theirs for only a few hundred dollars to cover the cost of "filing some documents" and watch out. They'll trample you on their mad dash to the title loan/paycheck advance store (loan shark).
Not sure if it's funnier than sad or the other way around. Everyone wants something for nothing these days.

Check's in the mail, I'm such a caring and compassionate person.

That's good to know...expect an email stating that my mustang is stranded in the garage with no hopes of getting out without some kind soul, like you, to send it lots and lots of money of money!!! :lol :lol

That is even worse than the couple I have gotten lately, I was at least promised to be rich after I sent money!

Hey people here voted Bush in for eight years...this guy will make a fortune. :lol

Don't forget who they voted for in 2008. Change you can believe in.

Eh, those gov't contracted accountants don't UNDERSTAND the tax code, they just know what it says. It seems that tends to carry over in other areas.
