How to adjust cable clutch

Looks like my brand new clutch is slipping under heavy load/acceleration. I'm assuming I adjusted the cable at the bellhousing too tight so it would act as if the pedal is slightly depressed.

What is the correct procedure for adjusting the cable clutch?

Not on a mustang but when I've adjusted the cable on a clutch I've simply taken a pry bar to push on the fork, relieve tension on the cable and adjust.

I have a Mustang Steve clutch cable system on my T5 and it works great. Take all the slack out, zero lash, then 1 to 2 turns. Note, the cable may stretch some early on and require readjustment. As I understand it you should never have any "easy pedal" as you have on a linkage type setup. KG
