I enjoyed the Mustang Times article about Dave Wallace's 65 K fastback, and his stories about finding previous owners got me thinking about how to close the gap in my car's history.
According to the DMV records provided by the state of NC, the car was owned by Dorothy Mae Davenport of Thomasville, NC, from 5/15/71 to 10/9/73, when she sold it to her daughter, Carolyn Diane Davenport of Trinity, NC. That's where I lose the trail, and it doesn't pick up until 1978 in Virginia. I have all owners from 1978 to when I bought it in 1996.
Any ideas on how I can locate either Dorothy Mae or Carolyn? Anyone from that Thomasville / Trinity area of North Carolina who would have possibly heard of this family? I'm just trying to close the gap on the PC's ownership history.
