When I was a teenage a friend's father owned a gas station just down the street from my house. He told me about a woman who pulled up one day, got a quart of oil and popped the hood..all with what seemed to be a confident and knowledgeable approach. They believed she knew exactly what she was doing based on her demeanor. She then proceeded to open the radiator cap and pour the oil in....DOHHHHHH!

Years ago an older gal came into an auto parts store near us and bought 5 quarts of oil. A few minutes later she came back in and bought 5 more. Several minutes went by and she came back in for 5 more. Finally the guy at the counter asked what she was doing with all of the oil. She said, " well, I was told to make sure the car had oil in it. I keep putting it in but it hasn't reached the top yet" .

I sure hope she used Castrol synthetic 5w30 otherwise Mini not honor her warranty
