Since my motivation to work on Gert has been.. well none, I was just surfing around youtube for sexy mustangs and ran across this.

66 MUSTANG RESTOMOD

OMG It's Gertrude when I'm done with her!! :yah Same hood.. same paint... same billet tail light bezels...gas tank cap.. .same e-kit pieces!! I even want those wheels but since I can't afford Boyds I'll get something cheaper but similar. That one has LED tail lights and I'll have my sequential ones.. but DAMN that mustang is soo close to what Gert is going to look like! :wor

Meh, it's OK if you like coupes.

Frack'n sarcasm people.

You got one roller coaster of a relationship with Gert over there. Just take it one step at a time, she will get there.

How long have you had Gert? a year, 2?

I spent 7 years restoring my 66. It takes time when your pockets are shallow. I had times that I didn't work on the car for months at a time, but I'd eventually save some cash, buy some metal and go back at it. It's a labor of love when you don't have "discretionary" funds.

I know it sounds kind of weird Kat, but, I have this feeling that the more of a PIA the car is to bring back to life, the MORE your going to enjoy and love it.

be patient!

It will happen. I took 5 years on the 67 and I had money to spend on it every month. I have had Ed for 8 years and have done very little due to funds. It will happen one step at a time.

Just sit in a lawn chair, grab the wheel and go vroom, vroom.....
