Today, I had to mow the back lawn, as the grass and weeds were getting high (8"). Who'd a thunk that mowing the lawn was needed in the first week of February in FL?

Must be Al Gore's fault: global warming?

What a bizarre winter. I pulled out my snow blower for the first time this winter in late January. This had been the warmest winter I can remember. Only a couple days below zero. Maybe 6 inches of snow total. It been in the 30s and even 40s most of the season. Not that I'm complaining. Gonna be mid 40s the next couple of days.

Very weird winter! We've had only about 6 inches of the white stuff and I only started the snowthrower to see if it would. I was telling my wife today if the mustang wasn't up on jack stands, it would be on the road. No snow in site at least for the next week. :yah

Very little snow here, maybe 3 inches, several high temperature records broken in Jan. --probably gonna have some more snow but it is getting late enough it won't last long. We have some snow crocus flowers coming up.

I haven't had to use the snow blower once this winter.
I've only had to shovel snow once. Groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter, If it stays like this, ill take 12!

My husband mowed our front and back yard 2 weekends ago... and it's already time to mow again. Backyard it's over 6" in some places already.

Ahhh TEXAS! :part

The daffodils are up a couple inches here already. About 2 months ahead of schedule.

The worst thing around here about a mild winter is that it means the skeeters will be terrible this year! I hate the cold, but it kills off a lot of the larvae.....and I hate skeeters worse! :rant

If this is global warming I like it. Got bee stung the other day. I see wasp, honey bees, and many other insects out that I have never seen before this time of year. Heck, the next sunny day I may get in my man thong and get a tan. :puk

Till a week ago , here in Belgium , we had a mild winter too.In the forties
The wind changed and comes now from Russia , temps drop to the teens. And snow .

I hear there have been a lot of deaths in europe due to the cold and snow. Stay warm over there.

46 degrees, Super Bowl Party, shorts and a T shirt...winter just doesn't get any better! At this rate, we'll be back on the lake in March instead of June.

Dunno if it will go but we went to Madison and watched a UW vs. OSU basketball game this past Saturday. Was driving away after the game and saw guys ice fishing. Had to stop and walk on water for the first and likely last time of my life.

Ice fishing is a big deal up here. This year has been too warm and most of the areas aren't frozen over enough. Usually you see entire cities of shanties camped out on the lakes. Up by me is the sturgeon capitol of the world. They start spearing season on the ice soon.

They even race trucks and snowmobiles on the lake by my house.
