...an unwelcome visitor to boot! When I walked into the garage tonite, a rather large rat scurried across the floor. I've set a Havaheart trap and two flip-traps, baited with peanut butter and a bit of cheese, all 3 along walls and narrow walkways. We'll see what results...

........thought you didn't hit the YJ until you were in the garage.....

Kinda hard to tell if they were YJ rats. Randy didn't mention whether they were pink ones! LOL

I kill a mouse a night in front of the garage. I use those really cool alligator snap traps with some PB. The carcasses are really piling up in the far yard. Mice in Kansas are like skeeters in FL.

Yeah. The TomKat (alligator) are the best. Caught a buttload of LA rats using those. Their idiot proof to set as well.

Pests? What are those? We don't have pests in California. Oh wait. We got Craig. :roll :hide

This is really Randy's way to keep his wife out of the garage............and leave him alone with the " :shee".

Tonite, while perusing the Internet, I heard a "snap" from one of the snap-traps. Lo and behold: I got him! Turns out it was a fairly large mouse, around 5" long body and another 7" of tail. I took him outside for his picture.

This morning, while checking all of the car's vital signs, I found him in the Lincoln engine compartment, but he quickly took off before I had a chance to do anything. I hoped he stayed in the car, so I moved the car outside immediately, and left it there. Apparently, he decided the garage was a bit more hospitable...NOT!

That's not a mouse . It's a rat.

There's more than one rat there believe me. If you see 1 there is probably 3 or more. Since we owe a stray cat, it has killed for absolutely complete enjoyment something like 14 rats and 10 mice in about 2 months. She practiced her volleyball skills with two recently and screwed with one big rat by throwing it towards the house and when it ran to a certain point the cat would flip the rat again towards the house... She eventually had had enough and ripped the rats head off. I now like this cat.
