Got to love getting a car in pieces.

Went to mount the Alternator on my 302 and the holes do not align to the head. The top bracket fits perfect on the waterpump on the passenger side of the engine. But the hole which should lineup with the head hole does not. So I think I've got the wrong bracket. Here are pics of the front of the engine and the bracket.

Do I need a different bracket or ????

You likely have a 351w alternator bracket. With the extra deck height, the alternator brackets differ from the 289/302

Ha! I groomed the fiance before hand to the incoming packages, etc. I just remind her that rat rod parts are cheap...

Actually, the path of least resistance is separate finances. The wife could care less how much of my money I spend on the car, and I could care less how much of hers she spends on shoes. As long as each of us pay our designated bills. Separate finances takes care of 95% of all fights that could occur.
