I need new plug wires

Does anyone on here run Moroso Ultra 40 (the cheaper non-race version) or Taylor plug wires? I have the Ford Racing 9mm wires and they dry rot after a few years, but the price is reasonable. They have pretty high resistance compared to other wires though. I know many people jump on the MSD bandwagon based on their reputation with ignition boxes, but I have done some research and found many complaints that durability has gone down the crapper in the last few years. Their wire material is overseas stuff. I was initially looking at getting their Superconductor series wires. So is anyone running Moroso or Taylor wires and do you have any radio/RFI interference, or do you have any recommendations?

I ran Taylors on my 89, they might be on hubby's 66 now, not sure. It was nice having those cut to fit, never had a problem with wires after I got those.

No exp with the other 2 brands, but I've been running the cut to fit MSD 8.5mm superconductor wires since I finished the resto in 04. Been tracking the car since with the same set and no problems. Don't know about any interference with the radio since I don't have one in the car!

Its been ages, but I think they were the 8mm race fit, but I probably got them around 10 years ago, had no problems with them, didn't notice any interference, but with the 8mm I don't think you would. As far as durability, they are still around in the garage somewhere (if they are not in hubby's car) even thought I got rid of the original car, couldn't get rid of a nice set in good condition.

You were close, but no cigar. The wire on the old Moostang and on the fastback are the Taylor 409 wires. They're 10.4mm. Like moostang said, no interference. It's just difficult to find nice loom separators...ie I don't have 'em. With the ignition setup and coil that I have, I wouldn't want to run anything smaller without fear of cross-firing.

Dang...I looked a while back for them but didn't find any I liked. I guess I should have looked harder!!

Yes those are the Taylors in both sig pics.

Which Taylors did you two run? Did you notice any radio interference? Also, how was the durability?
I have the thundervolt. It is a DD car, with around 90k and six years on the wire. No issues at all.

No, we're from California, they only let relatives get married in Alabama

Okay, you got me.... that's what I meant to ask.

So we have a husband and wife "tag team" onboard here?

This could get very interesting.

Especially since they are sitting across the room from each other, not talking except thru Stangfix...........

Great...now I have to talk to her. :puke

Interesting topic. I was discussing it with my husband about changing out the wires in Gertrude. PO put some Accel 8.8mm yellow/black ones on it. Does anyone know if Accel is any good? Or should I look into something better? Either way I hate the yellow wires and it will be changed. They don't match anything. :lol
