I think I am going to try selling Fords.

I had half heartedly asked about selling cars at the Ford dealer where I bought my 2011 f150 before, today I told the general manager I was serious about trying to sell cars and he told me to come back mid December to start the paperwork and he would have me start around the first of January. I have always thought I would like selling cars and I am going to give it a shot. This is a small town dealership(15,000 pop.) and it should not be the cut-throat environment of the big places. Maybe I can drive a 2013 shelby convertible for a demo? :sarc---I am sure I am in for a rude awakening working for "John Q. Public" and I just hope I can control my temper----I will have to watch the movie "used cars"again to brush up and get some pointers! (for the younger people "used Cars" was a very funny Curt Russel movie I would strongly suggest you see!!!) I guess early retirement wasn't meant to be--oh well, this will make the wife happy maybe but I doubt if it will.

Rod, if you can get me a deal on a used Ford GT ($20,000) in drivable condition, I'll be your first customer!

Selling cars is more about people then the car IMO
You have to " read " people and play there game so you can sell their car.
Not all people knows cars .
You would be surprise what you gonne encounter in the future.
Keep us updated.

BTW ... a Ford GT..... yes , if the pricetag is right ... I am in :stu
